Michael Manson—or Mikey as he is known to his friends and family—is a hardworking, God-fearing, 23-year-old guy who was recently diagnosed with Stage 2b, good risk, Testicular Cancer. Like many others suffering with cancer, it took us many avenues to get here. Steve was very blessed to have Mikey not only as a hard worker for years but he is also a great friend that we love.
Mikey started having severe groin pain around Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2017. He and his family saw many doctors, all of whom diagnosed Mikey with a hernia, pulled groin, severe abdominal pain associated with a pulled groin and once again—a hernia. It wasn’t until one doctor he visited in late March that changed the game. His constant pain was either caused by a severe infection or Testicular Cancer.
Our worst fears were realized—our Mikey had Testicular Cancer. He had surgery to remove one testicle on April 12thand now The Lord is brining us through the journey of Chemo. We would not still be here if it weren’t for the support of our family, friends and The Grace of God. We honestly and sincerely thank those who are able to give but we are equally blessed by both those who can give and those who cannot. Thank you for reading our story. God bless.
