Written by Lisa Marshall:

Honey Bunny, what am I going to do without you? We made plans for the future and now you're not going to be there. I'm going to miss your great laugh and love for me and Mason. I don't understand why you had to go now, this is not how this was suppose to happen. This house is going to be quiet because you were the only loud one in it. I can't wrap my head around the fact that I won't see you in person again. My heart is heavy and I can't stop crying. You would always help me when I got like this. I will forever love Lake Erie because it was your second love. I will love Barry White and that stupid Bruno Mars song that you would sing over and over and over again. Oh and I will hold on to The Andy Griffith dvds that you loved to watch over and over again. You called me "me wife" and your honey bunny and though I wasn't always a good housekeeper and wife I loved you with all of my heart. I loved you for your compassion and sensitive heart. I never knew a man that wore his heart on his sleeve like you. You knew everyone and everyone was your friend. You challenged me to really know what I believed about faith and life too. You would drive me crazy saying just what you thought and I finally realized it was just your way of processing things. You loved your family, especially your mom and dad, so well. I know they are proud of what a great son you were. You would drop whatever you were doing to be with them and to help. When Mindy died it really rocked your world. You were angry and sad for a long time at God but God was drawing you back. You knew Mindy would not want you to be sad and so you started going to the Booth house taking dinner over once a week and you did if faithfully because you wanted those boys to know how much you loved them and how much Mindy loved you. You were always challenging me in my faith when you invited wayward kids into our home. You were the one with the bigger heart to help people because you never second guessed it. I keep waiting for you to walk down the steps and ask me to make you breakfast. I will never forget how God brought us together. It was a truly amazing thing when you went on your trip to Indonesia. When you came back we both knew that God had brought us together. What am I going to do without you? What is Mason going to do without you? We will try our best to live in the legacy that you started by loving people, all kinds of people, and loving them well like you did.
I always think of the Chapel Christmas concert that we all went to that one year. You loved that song The Song of the Lamb. The first line says we will walk on the streets that are golden with the glorious bride and the great Son of Man. I know you are walking with God and Mindy. That does give me comfort. I was just hoping we were going to build that little house that we were going to retire in or move up to Marblehead liked we talked about. I love you Honey Bunny I love you with all of my heart.
