Michael Davis Medical Fund

Donation protected
On Nov 18, 2017  Mike Davis,  husband, father & grandfather suffered a massive brain hemorrhage/stroke while out to lunch with his wife Patty.  Thankfully, with the quick response in calling 911 Mike was rushed to Lancaster Regional Hospital and in the operating room for emergency brain surgery within an hour.  Mike's whole right side was affected including his ability to walk on his own, use of his right hand, hearing loss, vocal cord paralysis and vision impairment.  Mike was in the intensive care unit at Lancaster  Regional for 33 days, then was transferred to Bryn Mawr Rehabilition Hospital in Malvern where he spent 2 months before coming home on Feb. 22, 2018.  Mike still requires extensive speech, occupational and physical therapy and has a long road ahead to recovery.  Since coming home, Mike has had to be taken back to the hospital twice for minor setbacks.  With medical bills exceeding $750,000 so far and more coming in daily, it has added additional stress for Mike & Patty.  Pattys sister, Paulette Yenser Burkey & her niece, Stephanie Ivey, set up an account at Citadel Federal Credit Union for donations.  ANY amount, big or small would be greatly appreciated to help offset the medical expenses so that the main focus can be directed towards Mike's health and continued  recovery.

There will be a Beef & Beer Benefit as well on Saturday, April 14th from 4pm-9pm at Wagontown Fire Company Hall:
