Mike Wise 2nd Chance Scholarship Fund

Like many parents, my Dad cared deeply about the education of his children. In 2016, I was able to overcome opioid dependence with the help of UAB Substance Abuse Programs. From there, my goal quickly shifted to resuming my education. Dads battle with cancer was difficult, but I know that he took much pride in seeing me and his other children resume, and finish our education. My goal is to seed a scholarship in his name, so that those who are in early recovery can receive the opportunity to resume an education of their own.
