Our family recently received devastating news...my dad, Mike, has stage four lung cancer and it is spreading quite rapidly.  It has progressed far enough that there are no treatment options.  He was taken to hospice on Monday, February 26.  I am sure he will fight (those of you that know him know he will) right to the end, however we are afraid that he will not be with us much longer.

Dad is only 57 and had no prior health issues to speak of.  This has come to a complete shock to us all and has found us completely unprepared for what's to come.

My purpose in starting this page is to humbly ask our friends and family for help as we embark down the dark road ahead.  Cindy (dad's wife of 20 years) is in immediate need of help to get caught up on their bills since dad has been unable to work the last few months (fighting what we thought was pneumonia).  Social Services is working very hard to rush the process for Medicare/Medicaid, but we do not know what the results of that will be.  Lastly, we are in need of assistance for his final arrangements.

Our goal is to ensure a simple but nice service for dad and that Cindy is able to stay in their home. Any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated.  We kindly thank you for your prayers.
