We have set up this “go fund me” for a person who would drop everything to run and help a total stranger, a person who would give his life to save someone else’s, a person who loves everyone and everything. These are only some of the reasons that we love him. This person is Mike Mechachonis.

Mike was recently diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer which he thankfully found in its early stages. It is still extremely dangerous and life threatening. It started in his tongue and quickly spread to his throat and 2 lymph nodes. This cancer can also spread to the bones and other organs, which we pray does not happen. He is undergoing radiation daily and also chemo therapy which leaves him feeling very sick after each round. Mike has been an extremely hard and dedicated worker his entire life in the excavation/construction field. Due to the location of the cancer and how easily it can spread, Mike has been ordered by his doctors not to work. He has $0 income at the moment, and his minimal health insurance runs out December 31st. While there is not much we can do for all of the stress and worrying this cancer is causing Mike and his family, we can try to at least relieve some of the financial burden.

He is the type of guy that would give his last penny to someone to help them out and we are hoping there are a lot of others out there like him that will do the same for him. Please consider donating to Mike’s go fund me page. Any amount will help and be greatly appreciated.

We are also setting up a benefit with food, raffles and fun on September 30th at the VFW in Southwick, Ma., on Point Grove Rd. $25/ticket.. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the day with Mike, wether you know him or not, we hope to see you there. Thank you!
