Mike Lusardi funeral costs

Donation protected
On Friday, February 28th Mike Lusardi took his last breath here on earth, and stepped into eternity to be with Jesus. Mike has gone to be with our perfect father who has given him a perfect new body free of pain and discomfort. Jesus welcomed him with open arms, “ WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, YOU ARE FINALLY HOME”. He is already profoundly missed by so many and was an inspiration to everyone he crossed paths with living a life that honored God.

Thank you so much to all who have been praying continuously for the Lusardi family and to those who have given donations through this GoFundMe post. The family is very appreciative and would like to ask if you are interested in offering any support for funeral expenses you continue to use this site.

There will be two services to celebrate Mike’s life! Thursday, March 5th will be held at 7pm at Arizona Christian University in Glendale, AZ. A second service will be held on Sunday, March 15th at 3pm at Abundant Life Church in Lee Summit, MO.

2 Timmothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Posted February 2, 2019
In 2018, Mike Lusardi was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome- a rare form of blood cancer. He immediately started chemo treatment and in early 2019 underwent a stem cell transplant-Mike beat cancer! Although the treatment was successful in curing his cancer the aggressive nature of the treatment lead to complications, infections, and ultimately a secondary disease. Mike is now suffering from "graft vs. host" disease. This disease has taken hold of his body and internal organs and resulted in days consumed with severe pain, weakness, and several trips in and out of the hospital. The "graft vs. host" disease has caused his body to reject the new stem cells. Last week Mike was admitted back into the hospital. The physicians are evaluating whether Mike's condition can be reversed, corrected, or at least stabilize. This upcoming week will be filled with several heavy decisions. Mike and his wife; Debbie, will face the decision to continue to fight against the "graft vs. host" disease or to stop treatment. Although the purpose of this account is to raise money to help cover Mike's medical expenses, I would like to first and most importantly ask for prayer. Please pray to comfort and strengthen the Lusardi family. Please pray for wisdom  and guidance for doctors and nursing staff at Mayo Clinic Hospital taking care of Mike. Please pray that the Lord would give this family a miracle in this last hour and lift up Mike; heal his body, give him strength, and heal him from this disease! As you can imagine the medical debt that has been incurred during this time has been overwhelming. Anything that you can donate to help offset some of these costs would be extremely helpful to the Lusardi family.
