I have updated (downsized) our go fund me goal. We have been so blessed by so many people’s generosity. We are going to get help from disability in July so after that we’re hoping to be financially independent once again. We have been so blessed by our community and the meals, groceries, gift cards and many kind gestures that have been given to us. We will never forget our time of need and how so many people gave us help. Our lives are forever changed by this. We will always try to pay it forward. (Previous story below)
We have recently had our lives changed in a sudden and scary way. My dear husband and love of my life was diagnosed with
Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer. We have a 12 year old son Evan and none of us are ready to lose each other. Mike has had his own business painting cars and doing touch up for decades. When he doesn't work he doesn't get paid and he won't be working anytime soon if at all.
Hopefully I'll be able to continue working but I may need to take time off unpaid. The goal for me is to work as much as possible so Mike doesn't have to. I'd love to be able to take unpaid time as needed and not have to worry about the mortgage.
Thank you in Advance. Our family is being wrapped in love and support and I have no doubt that we are in Gods Hands and our needs will be taken care of. I do feel like God and I have different ideas about what we can handle but he and I will figure that out later. For now I try to choose faithfulness over fear.

PS if we have leftover funds and don't need them you can bet we will pass it along to our other loved ones who are fighting Cancer but may not have the network that we have.
