Mike Flannery's Brain Surgery

On May 25th 2019, Mike and Ruth Flannery discovered Mike had an invasive brain tumor. Mike went into surgery on June 20th, which was his second brain surgery to date. After a 10 hour operation, Mike is tumor free and currently recovering in the ICU at UW- Madison Hospital. Mike's recovery is expected to be a long and frustrating path. Ruth is doing her best to support Mike in his recovery while working full time to make ends meet.
We are so grateful for the surgeon, UW- Hospital staff, and support from family and friends. Many people are reaching out offering their support in any way. Anyone who knows the Flannery's knows that they are kind, generous, and proud people. They would be too proud to ask for help in a situation like this. Therefore, we (their sons, Connor and Cass) are starting this page to try to give them the support they need from their community. Any donation, small or large, to keep the Flannery's on their feet would mean the world to them.
Mike and Ruth owned Flannery's Supper Club in New Glarus Wisconsin for 30 years, becoming an integral part of the community. Mike cooked iconic meals and Ruth offered the midwestern libations that made their restaurant feel more like a living room. They sold the restaurant in 2014 and since then, Mike and Ruth have been working endlessly to make ends meet while enduring previous surgeries (brain hemorage surgery, two hernia surgeries, a knee surgery, and a hip surgery) that lead up to this recent brain surgery. Needless to say, the last several years for them have been overwhelming.
We want to see Mike and Ruth happy, healthy, and stable. Please show your support for these two wonderful people.
