Mike and Monica's Dream Day

When Mike met Monica in 2019, he was smitten. He waited patiently for their timing to align, casually dropping in to “see about an insurance policy” as an excuse to talk to her. Finally, he took his dream girl on her dream date: a picnic together overlooking Guenoc Valley.

He proposed last year at Donner Lake, the couple hoping to tie the knot without the restrictions of the pandemic altering their plans. Unfortunately, Mike's experimental immunosuppressant therapy failed earlier this year; his cancer metastasized to his liver and continued attacking his bones more aggressively than before.
