Mikayla needs your help

Mikayla is 9 yrs old, battling against a very rare medial condition called Mitochondrial Disease, an incurable and terminal illness.
An illness that has physically taken everything from her little by little such as her ability to walk, to talk, sit up on her own without any assistance, feeding herself and to care for herself in general.
As this disease slowly progresses there are still a great deal of unknowns for her in the future, and we have been told there is not much left to do but to make her comfortable until her body decides it has had enough.
And although many have lost hope in finding a way to help her we refuse to give up on our little princess, and will continue to fight with her right by her side.
On Monday, August 13, we were told that the scoliosis she developed from no longer walking is progressing as well and as it gets worse it will soon bring her lung problems; giving her a hard time breathing and she will then need to have trach tube put in to help. We are now taking action to help correct her scoliosis to further prevent her from suffering more than she already has up to now!
We have found a doctor in Huntington Beach, CA who we previously went to visit and he has assured us he is able to correct Mikayla's scoliosis and with that prevent or at least slow down any future respiratory problems.
We are trying our best to help Mikayla as much as we can, while we still can. There may not be a cure for Mitochondrial but as long as we can still fight for her health we will continue to do so!!
