As you may already know, Miguel had an accident Sunday, August 12 at home where he fell about 3 stories. Luckily, his wife Sandra was there to help him. He was transported to Grady Hospital in downtown Atlanta. After numerous tests and imaging, it was determined that he had broken several ribs, bruised his lungs, and broken his lower back.
He had no major injuries to his head and no damage to his brain. Overall, he was extremely lucky to not have more serious injuries from the event. After surgery to stabilize his spine and several days of recovery, he has moved to the Shepherd Center to start his rehabilitation.
Miguel and Sandra have been unbelievably strong through the entire event which is an inspiration to us all.
Miguel is an avid outdoorsman and golfer. So to show our love for him, this fund has been established to help purchase equipment that will enable him to continue to pursue his hobbies.
