Mighty Mel's Battle Back

Melanie Vaughn is one of the most joyous, giving, loving and caring people you will ever meet. For nearly two years, she has optimistically battled a very aggressive breast cancer and it has recently taken a turn for the worse. Fortunately, God has opened the door for her to receive some of the best cancer care in the world from M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX. With this whirlwind of medical happenings, she will be unable to continue working as a nurse in Children’s Medical Services for the Gordon County Health Department for an indefinite amount of time. This gap in income, added travel costs, and medical expenses will place a financial strain on the family. The aim of this account is to bridge this gap so Melanie’s focus can remain on God and beating this nasty disease.
