Michelle's College Biology Field Study

Hello Family and Friends! Thank you for clicking on my go fund me! I have an amazing opportunity to take part in a Biology field study with my Biology professor at CCAC. Several other students and teachers along with myself will be traveling to the Galapagos Islands to observe and study the animals, marine life, and environment around us. This field study is from January 2nd until the 12th. The trip itself is $5,000 but I'm hoping to raise as close to $2,000 as I can for it. By donating you'll be helping me achieve this goal of participating in a field study, enabling this to go on my college transcripts, and the ability to put this on resumes in the future. For my career of wanting to be a Genetic counselor I need to go into a biology program when I transfer to a 4-year university. This Field study will heighten the chance for me to be accepted.

Understand I take my academics very seriously. I currently have a 4.0, not such an easy feat being a single mom to an energetic 3 year old. I work in a work study at the school to provide for both him and I. I am in the Honors program at CCAC and I'm on the path to graduate with an Honors degree in liberal arts and sciences. This Field study will be life changing for me and my son and if you can help at all I truly, deeply appreciate it. If you want to help but just can't afford to, I understand!
