Michelle Powell Memorial

Don protégé
Michelle Lynn Powell lost her battle with cancer on March 6, 2023. She was born on July 30, 1969. She was raised by her mother and stepfather. They decided to leave Missouri and move to Arizona where Michelle met Glenn Powell, the love of her life, teenage sweethearts. They were married young and had 3 beautiful children. Their youngest, Duston, sadly passed away as an infant. While a lot of couples drift from such a tragic incident, Michelle and Glenn grew closer. They lived moderate lives with a few more struggles than most, but they always made it through together.
Tragedy struck their family again when their middle child, Weston, passed from a drowning accident. He was only 15 years old. Again, they never separated and were there for each other. A few years after his passing, Michelle and Glenn adopted their oldest grandchild, Zackary, and raised him together.
Their lives continued on as life does until Michelle was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She beat it, but couldn't work. They were forced to move in with her mother, Sharon. Glenn worked and took care of Michelle and Zack and their oldest daughter, Stephanie when she needed it. They were also blessed with two more grandchildren, Adeliah and Levi.
Glenn went in to get checked for headaches and found out he had a brain tumor. Michelle did for him what he did for her. Glenn's treatment stopped working and he passed May 8, 2019.
Michelle's cancer came back two more times before doctors took her pancreas out and she became insulin dependent. They thought she was in the clear until she went in for a check-up and saw cancer levels in her bloodwork. They found tumors in her lungs. They attempted treatment, but on March 6, 2023, she succumbed to cancer.
Her daughter, Stephanie, is a single mother. They lived together to help each other out. Michelle was still paying for Glenn's funeral from 2019 when she passed. That responsibility is now passed onto Stephanie, as well as, Michelle's services that will soon be scheduled. She needs to worry about her children and not an extra bill.
I am trying to raise as much as I can so her paychecks can go towards bills and food instead of this. I know times are tough for everyone, but this woman has been through the worst of the worst and came out of it every time. She has earned respect and proper treatment. Please do what you can. It is so appreciated.
