Hello Everyone,
Michelle Carrera was diagnosed with Stage 3 Lung Cancer. In 2021 she underwent surgery where they removed the lower half of her right lung. Unfortunately it has come back even more aggressive this time. After numerous tests, we found out it is genetic cell mutation. After completing radiation last year, she is undergoing Chemo treatment for next three years. Statistics are not in her favor, but above all she is a firm believer in her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She believes everything is possible through God!
Michelle wears many hats. She is a selfless woman, a wife, and mother of 7 children. And she is very involved grandmother of 10. Michelle has been employed at Emerado School for nearly 10 years. She is a bus driver, lunch lady, and paraprofessional. Michelle loves what she does, and she’s grateful that she’s still able to provide for her 2 younger children (5 & 13) whom are still in her home.
This journey has been long and tough, and it has taken a toll on her finances as she has to travel back and forth from Fargo to Emerado.
