My parents, Bernie and Michelle Vandermey have been apart of the community of Eden and surrounds for 26 years. My siblings and I grew up in the town and went to school there.
They bought their first ever block of land in Kiah, NSW in 2014 and begun building their dream home on the hill.
Anyone who knows Michelle and Bernie or their family know the struggles they have faced. They have suffered injury and loss to be able to afford it and as such they have put their whole life and every spare cent into their pride and joy in the bush.
Due to the recent devastation that has affected many homes in Australia, they are amongst many who have lost everything, including their belongings collected from generations ago and their first ever home.
Please help them raise what little funds possible to assist in rebuilding their lives to what they have. Like everyone, they have expenses and debts which need to be taken care of and they need to put every last ounce of that money into rebuilding what many Aussies lost and are still under threat by.
The costs of rebuilding are at a minimum $75,000 just for the structure alone, not including internal walls, furniture, general expenses. I am not asking for that. I'm seeking donations to help them not to worry about food, clothing and living expenses like fuel and phone bills.
Please donate anything you can, no matter what the amount, it'll go a long way, and directly into the hands of a husband and wife who lost their dream.
