HELP FEED InStride Equestrian's HORSES

In Stride Equestrian Farm is owned and operated by Michele Arana in Salley, South Carolina. In Stride focuses on teaching horses lightness through classical training and ethical horsemanship to provide a proper foundation for any discipline at any level for horse and rider. The whole horse is taken into account, their mind, body, and spirit. The farm currently has 6 horses that are used for lessons and clinics.

Michele spent the past decade interning, working for, and working out of other people's farms.  Six months ago, she finally secured a lease to own option for her own working horse farm and just finished barn renovations when Covid-19 hit.

Her only source of income to provide for her farm business and horses was gone. Her business was shut down. Unfortunately, her business shutting down does not mean she can simply close her doors and just turns off the lights. Her "goods and product" consist of live animals that can't just sit on a shelf. They must be fed and cared for every day regardless if the business is running or not. Because of the pandemic and business closures, she lost the ability to cover the cost of simply feeding the horses. That is the biggest struggle.

At this point, she has not been able to find a job to cover the monthly expense of $1500 to feed them.

Michele Arana has spent the past decade going after her dream of having a horse farm to train, board, and care for horses and their owners. She started her journey 10 years ago by saving for and buying her first horse Mandi without much experience except for a couple of years of riding lessons as a young girl.

To say this horse literally saved her life is an understatement. Her bond with Mandi has carried Michele through many hardships and trying times and has deepened her love and passion for horses.
Just as it seemed that the past decade of physically demanding work, sacrifice and moving hundreds of miles from her family of friends to pursue her passion was finally paying off, the effects of the Covid-19, put a huge financial strain on the farm and horses that she's worked so hard for.

Michele, like so many of us, has lost her source of income. Unfortunately, her business shutting down does not mean she can simply close her doors and just turns off the lights. Her business has live animals that must be fed and cared for every day.

Michele would never ask for help, she's not that person...she will work and do whatever she can to care for her horses. She's been trying to get work, but there's no work to be found during this time. 

As a mom, I'll do anything I can to help my children. But my business in NY has also been shut down and therefore my ability to financially help my daughter is greatly limited. But I can ask for the help that she won't ask for.

I've created this fundraiser to help Michele feed her horses. If you can donate even $1 to help cover the $1500 per month to feed her horses for several months, as a mother, I would greatly appreciate it.
