Recently, I was accepted into the Summer China Research Program at Southwest University in Chongqing, China through the Center for Global Education's study abroad program at Saint John's University.

While there I will focus my time sharpening my skills and knowledge in: Molecular Medicine, Genetic Engineering, Biochemistry, Genomics, Virology, Proteomics, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology. Specifically, I will be researching how:  'current antimicrobial resistance represents a formidable treat to the global public health.  With the emergence of antimicrobial resistant pathogens, even minor surgery might cause death due to the infection, which will bring the human being to the dark era of pre-antibiotics. It is imperative to find a new solution to antimicrobial resistance. And therefore, I will be conducting research on phage therapy as an alternative to current antibiotics treatments.'
