Michael Rooney Memorial

I'm starting this fundrasier on behalf of my dad, Michael Rooney. My dad has had pain in his shoulder and back for several months. He's a little bit stubborn (if you know him, you know what I mean) and he just tried to push through the pain. 

On December 31st, he went to the emergency room because the pain was unbearable. After some testing, he received the results we were dreading. He was diagnosed with cancer. The cancer has spread throughout his bones and lungs. The tumors ate away one of his ribs and part of his left shoulder.

We are currently waiting to get the full diagnosis of the origin of the cancer and the stage. We are optimistic and my dad is being his normal self.  I think the nurses are getting used to his sense of humor at this point lol. My dad's a fighter and the hardest worker I know. We are confident he can get through this.

Unfortunately, my dad doesn't have health insurance. This is not an ideal time to not have health insurance. There will be costs even beyond the hospital bills that we will have to worry about. 

This gofundme is to ensure that my dad can receive the best possible care and not have to stress about any bills as he fights this battle with cancer. My dad has had a huge impact on a lot of people in New Castle and I please ask that if you could give any money at all, it would mean a lot to us.
