2018 Honduras Mission Trip

Hello, Friends and Family,
I hope all is going well with you, and that you are anticipating spring with as much excitement as I am! As I near the completion of my Junior year at Saint Thomas More Academy, I look back and realize how quickly this year has passed. Activities such as theater, FFA, the pro-life club, and becoming a lector have kept me extremely busy. I also turned sixteen, earned my driver’s license, and started my first job at Chick-fil-a! I am thankful for all of these amazing opportunities.
This year I feel called to challenge myself spiritually in a new, exciting way by traveling to Honduras on a mission trip. Initially, this felt out of my comfort zone, but after hearing testimonies from my family, teachers, and friends, I realize I cannot miss such a life-changing invitation from the Lord.
My school participates in an annual twelve day mission trip to Honduras. The trip takes place June 29th to July 10th. We will be hosted by the Missioners of Christ (http://www.missionersofchrist.org). The Missioners of Christ has been called together to fulfill the Great Commission, “making disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19). We are a discipleship community – not only evangelizing and spreading the Good News, but teaching others to evangelize and teach themselves. I welcome the opportunity to learn Spanish, interact with the villagers, and share the love of Christ with them.
I am extremely excited go on this amazing trip, and I wish to invite you to be a part of my journey through your prayers and financial support. You all have been a part of my life, and I thought of you as I realized that it would take a support team to make this trip possible.
As a young missionary, I am committing to turn over all aspects of my life to God, and continue to pray that God will use me as an instrument to do His will and not my own. I am grateful for any donations or prayers for my upcoming mission trip. After my trip, I will write to you and share how God blessed me and the people of Honduras. Thank you so much for supporting me in my mission trip to Honduras!!
