As many know, my brother, Michael (Mike to some) passed away March 1st. Michael was called home at the age of 60, a few months prior to his retirement as a civil servant in the USAF in Guam. Michael leaves behind 4 beautiful adult children, 3 living state side and 1 son who lived with him in Guam.
My brother never ever met his grandchildren and was planning on coming “home “ after his retirement to be closer to his adored family and be part of his grandchildren’s lives. It pains us all greatly this was not Gods plan.
Please help ease the financial burden for Mike's family. These funds will contribute to his “celebration of life ” & memorial service in Guam, and the overall expenses of bringing his children together to mourn the passing of their father. Another service will be held stateside this summer for those of us here. There will be many unknown and unexpected expenses that will present themselves along the way. This will also help relocate his youngest back to the states with his sisters and their families.
My brother was a good person and raised beautiful children who mourn his passing terribly. My mother has taken this hard to say the least and I think this will help ease her worry about his family, too. Although we've been separated by oceans for many years and saw each other last 13 years ago, he was my big brother and he will be missed terribly by all of us.
Thank you,
Patti Elliott on behalf of McDevitt, Elliott and Gilmore families
