On April 4, 2020 our community lost a dedicated father, son, brother, and friend when Michael Heath passed away. Mike's sudden passing is a huge loss for his family and community. He was a humble young man, always prepared to help others and a rock for his family.
From a tight-knit family, Mike lived in the same neighborhood he grew up in near his mother, Toni, brother, Billy, and with his teenage daughter, Destiny. He was a dedicated and caring father to Destiny, who he always brought along to neighborhood events and celebrations to show her the importance of community.
Mike was a beloved friend of the Coalition for a Better Acre (CBA). He could always be found at CBA events - volunteering at dinners, neighborhood clean-ups, garden days, civic events, manning the registration table and running the popcorn machine at block parties.
None of our events will be the same without Mike. Although we have to wait to celebrate Mike's life in person, when it's safe for us to gather, your support will help his family get through this difficult and unexpected transition.
This fund will be managed by CBA, and deployed as soon as possible to help Mike’s family with medical and funeral costs.
