Michael Burger Memorial Fund for his Children

Our dear friend Michael Burger passed away suddenly on June 10, 2020. He leaves behind a loving family, which includes his partner and three children. This fund has been set up for those who wish to honor Michael’s memory by contributing to his children’s futures through a college trust.
Everyone who made friends with him knew Michael always had a huge heart. There is no greater example than when he and Travis decided to open their home to two foster children, Alex and Vicky, to raise and love them as part of their family. After a protracted battle with the labyrinthian bureaucracy of the California foster system, they were able to adopt Alex and Vicky to ensure they were well cared for. Joining Mike’s daughter Zoe, their children have been showered with affection and the best of parental support.
Zoe is currently in college, while Alex and Vicky are still in public school. We want to ensure they have funding available to help them through to graduation for college. We ask that, instead of flowers or other gifts to the family, that you contribute generously to this fund in honor of your appreciation for Michael and all that he’s done for all of us.
Once completed, the fund will be split evenly and placed into education plans which will be available to each of Michael's and Travis' children after they begin college.
