Micah's Stolen Car Fund

I was robbed yesterday. Robbed of my life-savings, robbed of my possessing a car and most importantly, robbed of my life-long feeling that if I worked and saved my money dilligently, that I could purchase a safe and trustworthy vehicle for work and school...
I was the victim of a criminal offense yesterday. I purchased a 2006 Chevy Trailblazer last weekend from a private party, registered on-line. I checked the VIN#, obtained an authentic looking title and verified the owner's information on his Michigan Driver's License.
I was proud, overjoyed and relieved to finally have a safe vehicle to call my own. I saved this money from years of Christmas and birthday gifting, many dog-sitting jobs and 2 years of working at McDonalds here in Romeo.
This dream died and became a nightmare yesterday when I tried to obtain a license plate from the Secretary of State and was informed that the title was fraudulent and therefore, null and void. I contacted the Romeo Police and learned that my dream vehicle had been stolen from the rightful owner only hours before I purchased it.
I had to relinquish to the Romeo Police Department the vehicle that I paid several thousand dollars to a criminal that I learned I will never get back! The rightful owner of the stolen vehicle received their stolen car safely back as I unwittingly recovered it for them. The criminal who "sold" me a stolen car has run off with my life-savings and my dream that hard work is rewarded...
