Micah's medical expences
Donation protected
Our 14 year old son, Micah, has just been diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer. In addition to the main tumor near his bladder and prostate, the cancer has also metastisized to his lung. Because of the size and location of his tumors, surgery is not an option at this point so he will need a combination of chemotherapy and radiation to try to fight this. This will mean frequent trips to Children's Hospital and Mayo Clinic for the next year. We'll be missing a lot of work as we alternate taking him to his appointments and caring for him at home when he's sick from the treatments.
This is all still so new to us and the magnitude of what the next year will bring hasn't quite hit us yet. One thing we are certain of is that life as we know it will be changing. We have been so touched by the number of people who have reached out to us, offering prayers and support to our whole family. Many of our friends have expressed their desire to help and have asked about a way to contribute. It is because of these requests that we are setting up this site. We are so thankful for the love and support of our family, friends, and community.
