Many of you are aware of the recent explosion that rocked the Winter Street Studios at Sawyer Yard, where Micah has held a studio for many years. The soot and smoke from the gasoline fueled explosion, destroyed not only the majority of his works, but also his entire tool base of paints and supplies. The situation worsened when the heat of the building literally cause the walls to sweat liquid soot so thick that the remaining works had to be rinsed down. The few remaining pieces are currently being salvaged and stored, but in the meantime, our friend needs a lot of help to get back up. For Micah this makes up the majority of his income. For many, this last year was incredibly tough, and throughout it all, Micah has been there to unconditionally give what he could of his time, love, and physical help to all of us who’ve so desperately needed it. I watched him have to destroy many of his works that were unsalvageable, and it still takes me a minute to catch my breath from having witnessed that kind of pain. Please join me to help him recover from this incredible loss.
