Can you hear me now!?

I am a preschool of over 30 years. I love my career with a passion. I am lucky enough to have worked in the same community for most of those years and am blessed to have seen my students well past their years at school.
My 'grandma' moment happened just the other day when a former student now 30 enrolled her son at the school in which I teach.
Speaking of 'grandma' moments I slowly have lost hearing in my left ear which makes understanding and sometimes hear what people are saying. I have come to grips with it but I know it's not going to get better...possibly worse.
My students mean the world to me and yes , they too often hear me say.. 'what', ' can you repeat that' or the worst...when I totally mistake a word or sentence for something else.
Indeed it makes them feel as if they are not articulating correctly when it is me who does not hear correctly.
I am in need of a hearing aid, possibly 2 as to hear correctly. Insurance , of course does not pay for aids.
