United Pursuit School of Worship

Hello friends! I recently applied for a worship school hosted by United Pursuit (a worship group based out of Knoxville, TN). In the past year, United Pursuit has completely reshaped the way I lead worship. Through watching their videos and listening to their music, I have been inspired to lead and write more genuinely and Spirit-filled. When I saw they were offering a worship school, I immediately heard the Holy Spirit tell me to apply. After much prayer and waiting, I have been offered a spot at their school December 28th to January 2nd in Orange County, California!
What is the United Pursuit SOW?
I will be living in houses with other students for one week, discovering together how music emerges out of close relationships. I will be in a creative and spiritual “retreat” environment where I am encouraged and inspired by each person’s lives, stories, and musical gifts. I will have the opportunity to collaborate and learn from the United Pursuit team and university-trained creatives. The goal of the school is to equip each student with musical, vocal, and lyrical tools that empower their unique sound and inspire new original songwriting. We will also experience powerful times of worship in God’s presence, pursuing intimacy with the Father and one another. I will learn from the authentic expression of worship that United Pursuit has pioneered.
Why do I want to go?
At 14 years old, I led worship for the first time and discovered a distinct calling from The Lord. Since then, I have had the privilige to be a part of leading people to the cross of Jesus and having a front row seat to see what He can do through the worship of His name. My goal when leading worship is simple: to get out the way. When my voice is heard less, the voice of God is heard more clearly. I want to go to this school so I am equipped to come back to Nashville and teach, train, and disciple other worship leaders, young and old, what I learn from United Pursuit. This experience will also improve my skills as a worship leader and songwriter, and ultimately further my relationship with King Jesus.
What does the money go towards?
It costs $800 for housing, food, and everything else, not including a plane ticket, which will be around $500. Anything helps!
When are the funds due?
The funds are due by December 1st, so I have 30 days to raise this money. I will say it again, anything helps. Even if that means sharing this with friends or family!
I can not tell you how excited I am for this opportunity, but moreso how grateful I am for the support from all of you guys in this endeavor. This was a very individual and personal decision, and as a college student, I am unable to raise this completely on my own. I am humbled and overjoyed to ask you to partner with me in raising these finances. Worship and music are my biggest passions, and any support to help launch me into improvement of both of these things would be so appreciated. I am 100% confident the Lord will provide, and ask for prayer as well through this journey. I am putting my complete trust in Jesus who so graciously tells us to, "Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full".
