Mi nombre es María Teresa Bernal Sánchez, venezolana, tengo 26 años y soy médico cirujano, en el mes de abril decidí emprender una aventura dejar mi familia, mi trabajo, mi casa y mis amigos, para aprovechar una oferta laboral como médico en México, con sentimientos encontrados partí de mi casa el día 23 de abril, llegando a Ciudad de México el 25 de abril y tan sólo 4 días después iniciaron síntomas muy preocupantes, cambios en la sensibilidad de piel, el frío me causaba dolor, el calor no lo sentía, perdida de la fuerza muscular hasta el punto de dificultad para caminar y hasta para sujetar un lápiz, allí empecé una ruta por hospitales donde todo el mundo decía que mi diagnóstico era estrés por el viaje y la situación de mi país consciente de que ni era así insisto hasta que 1 semana después con empeoramiento de mis síntomas logré que me viera un especialista de medicina interna intensivista quien fue el primero en acertar con el diagnóstico un brote de una enfermedad desmielinizante, me refirió a neurología y una semana después me vieron e internaron con el posible diagnóstico de esclerosis múltiple, actualmente estoy internada nuevamente porque he recibido el tratamiento para los brotes más no para mí enfermedad, porque el tratamiento para mí enfermedad es muy costoso es un quimioterapéutico es decir un medicamento de alto costo, acá en México cuesta casi 80mil pesos. Mientras no tenga el tratamiento podrían seguir apareciendo brotes que van dejando cambios irreversibles en mi. Por eso necesito su ayuda para cumplir con mi tratamiento.

My name is María Teresa Bernal Sánchez, I'm a Venezuelan,  26 years old surgeon. In April 2017, I decided to take an adventure leaving my family, my job, my home and my friends, to take advantage of a job offer as a doctor in Mexico. I left my house on April 23, arriving in Mexico City on April 25 and only 4 days later began very worrying symptoms, changes in the sensitivity of the skin, the cold caused me pain and wasn't able to felt any heat, I felt the loss of muscular strength to the point that walking become very hard, even to hold a pencil. There I started to to go through hospitals where everyone said that my diagnosis was stress for the trip and the situation of my country aware that neither Was this way I insist until 1 week later with worsening of my symptoms I was able to see an intensivist internal medicine specialist who was the first to hit the diagnosis with an outbreak of a demyelinating disease, I referred to neurology and a week later they saw me and hospitalized with the possible diagnosis of multiple sclerosis, I am currently hospitalized again because I received treatment for the outbreaks but not for my disease, because the treatment for me disease is VERY expensive is a chemotherapeutic and a high-cost drug, here in Mexico costs almost 80.000 Mexican pesos. As long as I dont have the treatment, irreversible changes in me may continue to appear.
