Mexico Beach FL family of 7 in need

Please help,


My sister, her husband, and their five children live in Mexico Beach, FL and have been severely impacted by Hurricane Michael. As a result, they have already exhausted nearly all of their resources leaving their family in dire need of support as her husband who is self-employed has lost his job due to this disaster.   

As my sister was expressing to me all they had been through, and I was trying to comfort her, she said, "This is either going to be the worst times or the best times of my children's lives."  This situation is gut-wrenching for me.  She is a wonderful mother who homeschools all 5 of their children. Their children are their life.  The five children, Daniel, Devin, Christian, Curtis, and Ethan, are some of the most well mannered and pilot kids you could meet. It is always a treat to visit their home because it is one of love and family. They are the epitome of devoted parents. 

Their home and property has experienced extensive is damaged from the storm. I helped purchase them a generator and put them in a hotel for as many days as I could, but they don't know when they will have water, and they have been told it may be a month before they have power.  My family has reached the maximum of our financial capabilities to support them and we have been trying to get them to come to Tennessee. However, they stated that they have friends in their community that need their help, and they don't want to leave their home.   

When speaking with my sister, I began to understand that it is what comes next that is most concerning. They are unsure of how will they survive in the coming weeks as her husband has temporarily lost his job. I realize this situation is way bigger then what I can solve by myself so I am reaching out to others in hopes that some will be able to find it in their hearts to help my sister and her beautiful family financially survive this devastation.
