The Merzatta Morristown store is home to the work of dozens of master craftsman micro businesses and to our namesake jewelry line, Merzatta- which is made right in town in our studio on Elm Street.
We specifically support artists who have built their lives on the Contemporary Craft Art Fair Circuit and whose community, social structure, and sales opportunities evaporated when events were cancelled for the year. The American Craft Council has cancelled all events until fall of 2021 and we sensitively and passionately share the work of artists this dearly affects. The best way to support artists is to bring their work into your lives, to live with art and handmade things, and to get into the habit of gifting handmade.
We are so incredibly lucky to be in a town that is talking about the challenges small businesses face and working towards #SmallBusinessRelief . The truth is that running a small business has never been easy - and, for me, there is some relief in how pulled back the curtain is now!
The work is hard, the hours never end— but being part of this town makes it worth it. It’s an honor and a privilege to have a storefront on these streets.
