Mercy Mounthawk Sport Programme

Mercy Mounthawk has a dynamic Sports Programme which involves hundreds of our students in sporting teams across several disciplines and brings them to Regional and All-Ireland success. Our success is Tralee’s success – our school has families from all across the town and hinterland.

To keep our programme running successfully, we need to raise €20k to support our teams.

This year we are having tremendous success. We have recently competed in 3 All-Ireland Basketball finals in Tallaght (girls and boys teams) after having already won an All-Ireland Boys A title in January. Our Senior Girls Football team is playing in the Munster A final this week.

All-Ireland - The Hogan Cup

In the news at the moment is our Senior Boys A football team who will contest the All-Ireland final, the Hogan Cup, on March 16th. This is a major breakthrough for the school as it is the first time we have reached the Hogan Cup Final and it would be historic to bring the Hogan cup to Tralee for the first time.

Target 20K

We are proud of all of our teams and it is testament to the dedication and commitment of both the players and the teachers who train the teams that we are reaching such levels of success in the school. We endeavour to continuously support and enable all of these activities on a voluntary basis, however, as you can appreciate this involves very significant costs.

We are aiming to raise in excess of 20K to meet costs in this fundraising effort. We are asking for your support for our programme and in particular for our upcoming All-Ireland appearance in the Hogan Cup. Please donate what you can to our fundraising campaign…
