Memphis Tom's Veterinary Bill
Hi, everyone. My name is Sharon E. Cathcart. My husband and I look after a colony of feral cats. We were able to bring two of them successfully into the house. The handsome orange tabby we call Memphis Tom the Atom Bomb is one of them.
Tommy has developed a urethral obstruction, and has a bladder full of urinary "sand," which is basically tiny crystals. He has to have the obstruction removed via catheterization, and then be on IV fluids and medication under veterinary supervision for a few days before he can come home. The estimated cost for his care is $5,525, and I just paid a deposit of $4,962.05 so that the vets could get started on life-saving care.
I do not ordinarily ask for any help with our colony, and am somewhat embarrassed to be doing so now. But Memphis Tom is a pretty special guy (he already has a fan club at the veterinary hospital). We would appreciate any help you can give.
Thank you.
