Susan "Rue" Richardson Combs - teacher, singer, and fancy flamingo collector - passed away on February 28, 2014. She was born in Owensboro, Ky. and lived most of her life in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Susan was 61 years old and loved the Lord and the music of Dan Fogelberg "“ in that order.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Bill Combs of Murfreesboro. Together they have two daughters who miss her dearly, Clair Creasey and Emily Beasley of Murfreesboro. She has one sister, Vicki Oost of Owensboro, and a flamingo-counting granddaughter named Adelai. Her sons-in-law are Gregory Creasey and Josh Beasley.

She was preceded in death by her father, Marshall Richardson, and survived by her mother, Marcia Richardson, who now lives in Murfreesboro.

The funeral service for Susan will be held on Wednesday, March 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Jennings & Ayers funeral home in Murfreesboro. Dear friends Tom McKenney and Bruce Coble will officiate the service. She will be laid to rest that day at Rocky Hill Cemetery in Rocky Hill, Ky.
