Renee Bell and I are starting this GoFundMe campaign to help our dear friend and long-time colleague, Duane Hobson, who worked in A&R at Sony Music from 1998-2016. Duane tragically lost his wife, Julie Hardy Hobson, after a valiant fight with cancer on July 14, 2020. Julie was 35 years old. Duane and Julie were a loving couple and great parents to an adorable three-year-old son, Gary, who is the light of their lives. Duane is now faced with the daunting task of raising Gary as a single parent during this incredibly difficult time in the music business and the world at large. We would like to help Duane be able to take the time needed to grieve and also help his little boy, Gary, transition to their "new normal" without his mommy. We are heartbroken for both of them and only hope we can help through the generosity of our friends, both those that know Duane and also those that can sympathize with this tragic loss to cancer.
