Memorial Park Bench Honoring Gregory Nacios

This is is the story of my dear, dear friend who, in a tragic accident, suddenly lost her brother this past summer.

Imagine a person who lights up a room just by walking into it - a person with a light like an angel that spreads joy just with her smile. That is my friend. 

Now imagine that that light is just a little dimmer and that smile is not quite so bright.

Lake Nockamixon was a place of joy for her brother - a place he loved to go fishing on his boat.   In June of 2019, Gregory Nacios, my friend's brother was suddenly lost.  For 10 days, day after day, my friend went to the lake, watched the search and rescue crews, and waited. The entire family waited agonizingly - hoping he would be found - with very little hope he would be found alive.  A place of joy became a place of sadness. And, tragically, on June 14th, he was found deceased several feet below the water.

The pain from the loss is compounded by the agony the whole entire family went through waiting. Waiting...

My hope is to see joy in her eyes again - or maybe for her to find some comfort and peace.

So, I am writing this campaign in hopes of raising enough money for a Memorial Park Bench to be placed at Lake Nockamixon in honor of Gregory Nacios. This bench will be a memorial for the family and  a place they can go to remember the happiness Gregory felt on that lake -  his smile with a fishing pole - in his hat. Help take the sadness away by making this happen for her and her family.
