Memorial Funds for Miss Ruby's Family

Ruby Johnson, known to many as Miss Ruby, passed away in May 2020. Miss Ruby was a cornerstone of the Goucher College community for many generations of students.
Miss Ruby had a natural way of making everyone feel seen and welcome. I can see her walking down the halls of the dorms, which she kept in pristine condition, calling out affectionately with a “hey baby, how you doin”? Her warm hugs and smile could change the course of your day. She never took any crap from anyone. She always looked out for the kids at Goucher. Whether it was by jokingly reminding us to wear shoes when walking around the dorm, hanging out in the common room together, or giving sound life advice about our current worries or future plans, she was always there.
Miss Ruby was an infinite well of wisdom and positivity. She will be missed dearly by so many.
Donations to this GoFundMe will go directly to Ruby's family, who are planning a memorial for her this coming week in Baltimore on the 16th. We have just one week to help offset funeral costs and help them memorialize her in any way they see fit.
