Memorial Fund in Honor of Josie Apilado Banez

Donation protected

It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beloved, Josie Apilado Banez. On Saturday morning, August 28th, surrounded by her loving family, Josie went home to heaven after a long and inspirational battle with breast cancer.

Josie was an incredible mom, sister, daughter, aunt, "Glamma" and friend. She was a bright light on this earth with a beautiful spirit and the ability to find the good in everyone around her. Josie was a firm believer in the power of education and lending a helping hand to others. Throughout her career she helped guide countless people of all ages towards their dreams and educational goals.

Josie loved her family and friends. She loved to laugh fully, eat good food, play games, travel and spend quality time with her granddaughter.

Josie was always taking care of others. One of her last wishes was to ensure that nobody battling cancer would have to do so alone. In lieu of flowers, she has requested that we raise funds for the Road to Recovery Program.

As part of the American Cancer Society, the Road to Recovery program helps connect people battling cancer with volunteers to transport them to treatment and other critical appointments.

To learn more about the Road To Recovery, click here: https://www.cancer.org/treatment/support-programs-and-services/road-to-recovery.html.

In order to ensure that our donation is designated to the Road to Recovery Program, we are raising funds through this GoFundMe page and will send one check to the American Cancer Society in honor of Josie Banez.

If you have any questions, reach out to Josie's daughter in laws-- Aissa Banez or Shelby Banez

We thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
