Memorial fund for Reed family

The sadness, sorrow and heartbreak of 2020 was not spared for our family and we are sure this year has been a difficult one for everyone.

On the 28th of November, Francis “Frank” Reed, passed away tragically and unexpectedly. He left behind his wife, Melanie Reed, Two daughters Christine Reed and Megan McKinney and three beautiful grand daughters. Frank was 50 years old at the time of his passing and dedicated his life to his family with his children as his core and anchor. Frank was the eldest of five children with three little brothers and one sister. Frank’s death was preceded by his parents and two younger brothers with his brother Dan passing away in September of this year. Frank spent his younger years in the water, a varsity swimmer and was known back in his glory days as “King Fish”! He married his high school sweetheart and they had two beautiful girls! Frank climbed up the corporate ladder of Assa Abbloy, in their Southern California facility, starting as a welder working his way up to shop and warehouse manager of the same facility. Frank’s presence was always felt, even when he wasn’t physically around. He always made everyone laugh and smile and went out of his way to show his girls and family the good things in life! Frank being missed is an understatement, he was the center of our remaining family and was all of our home base.


Our family would like to say thank you, sincerely, for all the love and support we have received. In lieu of flowers, our family has created this gofundme to help cover some of the expenses that have been associated with the losses our family has faced this year.

Due to COVID social distancing restrictions the services for Frank will be small and intimate. They will be held at Miller Jones Mortuary in Hemet, Ca and Francis will be buried along side his Brother David and Parents, Joan and John Reed in the San Jacinto cemetery. Anyone wishing to pay their respects to the family in person, may do so solely or in small groups in the afternoon on the 8th of December at Frank’s home (580 S. Cecelia Dr. San Jacinto, CA 92583)
