Memorial for Raymond Laughter

Donation protected
Early this morning (on 11/24/2020) my dad Raymond Laughter passed on peacefully and without pain from the Covid-19 virus.  My dad was born in 1957 to Hubert and Mary Laughter of Shonto, Az. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings, neices and nephews. Our family, the Laughter Family, is deeply saddened and will miss his presence very much. My dad was a natural charismatic leader who had a great sense of humor. He was always quick to extend a hello and help when needed. He had an incredible work ethic that drove him to be involved in many organizations. My dad had an extensive network of family, friends and work colleagues who will truly miss him.

From 1988-2000 then 2002 to present he served Kayenta Unified School District as a Board Clerk, Member and President throughout the years. He also was an ASBA Delegate for KUSD. He served 30 honorable years.

From 1980-1988 he served as a Navajo Nation Police Officer, NNPD Sergeant and NNPD Criminal Investigator.

From 1988-1998 he worked for Peabody Coal Company as a Safety Instructor.

From 2001-2015 he worked for NTUA as a Safety Officer.

He was also the District 2 Board of Director for ABNDN.

Funeral arrangements are being made and finalized at this time. All Covid Protocols set by the CDC will be followed for his service. The service will be limited to immediate family due to the pandemic. We respectfully ask that Public Health Emergency Order No. 2020-030 set by the Navajo Department of Health be followed. For the health and safety of the community there will be no reception. Thank you for your contribution and understanding.
