Memorial Fund for Pete Bennett
Donation protected
This past Monday my dear friend Pete suddenly passed away. After pulling through a heart attack, a 6-way by-pass, just this past year Pete suffered with two bouts of phenomia, shingles, and finally on Monday a massive stroke.
Pete leaves behind a wife and 3 kids. I have just learned that Pete had no life insurance and being on a fixed income due to his disabilities has left his family financially strapped.
I am trying to raise money for his family to cover the memorial services: their trip to Maine to his hometown to lay him to rest and to help them with any other expenses that they may incur in the near future.
Pete has been a very dear friend for several years and has always been there for me when I needed him. Whether it was not having a ride to not having money to pay my rent. He never hesitated. He was ALWAYS there! When my mom died Pete and Amy were the first ones by my side. So I've always considered the Bennetts more my family than my friends.
It was'nt just me. Pete impacted so many lives and was generous to a fault. In, fact the night before he passed a mutual friend of ours called asking him for a ride home from the hospital, themselves. Not feeling well, Pete left right away. He didn't hesitate 'cause that's just the kind of guy he was. He was always there when someone needed him.
Whatever you can give is appreciated. If you can't give= than just please share this so that others can. I know that I have the best friends and family. So please whatever you can do to help my extended family is greatly appreciated.
