Memorial Fund for Margorie Begay

Donation protected
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, Margorie J. Begay on July 3, 2020 .

On June 9th, mom was admitted into the hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado after testing positive to COVID-19. Prior to her admit, we had been doing all we could to help her recover at home but her symptoms had only progressed each day. While she was getting her care in the hospital, our sister, Shandeen was also admitted into the same hospital in Grand junction on June 11th.

Mom and Shandeen were slowly making progress with their recovery and knowing that they were just a few rooms from each other, gave them comfort and strength to get through the days ahead. When moms vitals began to stabilize and she started feeling better, we brought her home on June 13. We had her with us for only 5 days, then she was admitted back into the hospital June 18.

The night of July 3, mom loss her battle to Covid-19.

Our hearts are heartbroken and in a time of uncertainty, we were not financially prepared for planning a funeral. Therefore, we are fundraising to cover the cost of funeral, memorial services and travel/medical expenses for my sister, Shandeen, as she is still in the hospital and has a long road of rehab recovery ahead.

Our mom was the strength that upheld our family together, she taught us all what is really important in life and that was to love, support and care for friends and family in our lives. Her unconditional love and support for each of her children went unnoticed.
She made a huge impact on her family, her relatives, her friends, especially her grandchildren. She was the most sweet, kind, humbled, compassionate, loving woman and we are so grateful to have called her our mom. She was and always will the the heart of our family, we will miss her dearly.

With this pandemic upon us, it has been difficult to accept that we are not able to grieve with our loved ones, to embrace one another and to come together as a family to celebrate mom's life, but we know we will honor her memory and cherish all the moments we had with her.

Our family greatly appreciates your help and prayers during this difficult time. May god bless you all and please be safe.
