Memorial Fund for Joe Busing

This has been setup to help Joe Busing’s family offset the memorial costs after his recent death.

Joe was one of my best friends, a husband, father and step-father.  He grew up in Lincoln where he graduated from Lincoln East High.  He played football and was a wrestler with varsity letters in each.  After high school he made the decision to become a United States Marine.  Throughout is military career Joe was a distinguished solider both in the Marine Corps and in the United States Army.  Serving on multiple deployments from Africa, Afghanistan and Iraq Joe was awarded a Bronze Star with Valor.

After Joe’s military service, he came back to Nebraska and ending up in Beatrice going back to school for Turf management.  He was hired recently after graduating, at the Fairbury Country Club where he has been working for the past few years.  In his time back he married Christina Bixby-Busing.  Christina and Joe have 2 children 2 step children who reside in Beatrice NE.

Many people have reached out to me in the past 48 hours wanting to know how they can help. And one friend thought a GoFundMe page like this was something that may allow people to help.  Any funds from this campaign will go directly to Joe’s wife and family helping offset the costs of his funeral or helping set up a memorial.
