James Brewster (Jim) was a very kind and loving guy that left an impact on the life of everyone that he crossed paths with. Jim had a long battle with Lou Gehrig's Disease, commonly known as ALS and  passed away 4/21/20. He was a co owner of Hot or Not Thai in Pacific Beach with his business partner Chef JJ.

Jim was born and raised  in Stanton New Jersey on his parents farm along with his brother Bill. Jim was very interested in radio broadcasting and while in high school worked and learned the ropes of radio. Once he graduated high school and join the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War earning an Air Commendation Medal for starting a radio station at an Air force Base in Vietnam. Upon leaving the Air Force Jim worked as an anchor man at a news radio station in Denver before moving back to New Jersey to continue building his career in radio broadcasting.  He accepted a position as a news director for a station in Pennsylvania where Jim and a co worker decided to create there own video production business. Jim co owned that business for about two decades getting to travel the world and do videos for business like Mazda, Kroger, and Toyota. During this time he started some subway restaurants in Temecula and Lake Elsinore. Jim sold these businesses to start a new adventure with his business partner Chef JJ, starting Tantalizingly Thai in 2002 in Lakewood CA while doing work as a voice over artist on the side. Jim and Chef JJ decided to relocate Tantalizingly Thai to San Diego starting up Hot or Not Thai in Pacific Beach in 2018.

These funds will be used for uncovered funeral expenses as well as supporting ChefJJ in continuing operating the business that they built together.

Excess funds will be donated to the UCSD ALS CLINIC FUND to support clinical trials like thoes Jim fought very hard to be apart of.
