Memorial fund for Tina Ackerman Maldonado

Our beloved Tina unexpectedly passed away at Umass Memorial Medical Center on Friday, October 9, 2020 after an acute case of liver failure.  She had just seen her primary care practitioner for the same symptoms only 6 days before she passed away. Her doctor claimed it was an inflamed colon due to constipation and to call back Monday.  Monday morning came around and Tina’s eldest daughter, Tiana, was forced to call an ambulance. Her health vastly declined and within 4 days she was gone.  We genuinely believe her death could have been prevented and this was never her time.
Tina was a wonderful mother, daughter, and friend who touched the lives of those around her. She leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Julio Maldonado, her parents, Robert and Kathleen Ackerman, her daughters, Tiana and Ciera Maldonado, and numerous friends and family.
Tina dedicated her life to raising her beautiful daughters.  She spent her days and nights with her 11 year old autistic daughter, Ciera, and occasionally would find time for herself.  In that time Tina loved to listen to music, watch movies with her family, spend time with her pets, and walk the beach any chance she was given.
Before creating her beautiful family, Tina spent a lot of time at Skylite Roller Skating Center in Worcester.  She was a South High Community alumni when she pursued her passion of caretaking with the elderly and later continued her passion as an aide at The Caring Place in Leicester.  She was truly an angel on Earth who continuously put others before herself.
We are all devastated by the loss of Tina and are not prepared to say goodbye never mind cover the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Tina the memorial she deserves, to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.  Any and all donations are welcome and will go directly to Tina’s services and her immediate family.

Julio's boss also set up a fundraiser his name is Michael Olney, both of these fundraisers will help defray any costs for the Maldonado family
