Leslie and her husband Michael have been wonderful friends to many people throughout the years, and we count ourselves fortunate to be in that special group. Leslie’s sudden and unexpected passing has brought unforeseen expenses. Her non-profit salary simply didn’t leave a lot of extra money to save to prepare her household for a life without her. If you would like to help out with some of the various costs that arose during this difficult time, we would be extremely grateful.
For Leslie, life was always about giving more than she took, and her actions showed that. She loved animals and volunteered at Wildlife Rescue of Palo Alto for years while Michael volunteered at the Humane Society. She gave up a lucrative career in the technology sector in order to devote her time and efforts to giving back to others. Leslie and Michael decided jointly that benefiting society was more important than benefiting themselves.
Leslie spent the last 19 years of her life providing a great deal of behind-the-scenes support for Via Services, a meaningful nonprofit that serves children and adults with special needs. Leslie worked tirelessly as she cared deeply for the population being served. Via’s mission was first and foremost. She supported the entire organization in a way that cannot be replaced.
Leslie was kind, generous, and supportive to everyone she knew. It is now our time to give back to her.
