Memorial Expenses for Joshua Womble

Today, June 7, 2021, my family received the tragic news that my nephew, Joshua Womble, was one of the victims of a double homicide in Mobile, Alabama. I am asking for donations on behalf of my sister and his mother, Deirdrene Womble, to assist with the cost of funeral expenses. While I know we all wish to be prepared for such tragedies, the truth of the matter is that, often, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are not. Needless to say, we were not prepared for this tragedy.

Joshua’s life wasn’t an easy one. Like many of our young boys who develop without fathers, deciding which fork in the road is the best one ends up being more of a coin toss than a thoroughly researched deliberate choice. Those in the family that knew and loved him, could see the potential talent within him. Unfortunately, we could not force him down the paths of our choosing. None of that changed the fact that we all loved him as we do one another.

We are raising money to cover the cost of funeral services for Joshua. Joshua leaves behind an infant daughter.
