Memorial Bench for Oz

Donation protected
As we approach the one year anniversary of the tragic loss of our dear friend Oz,  we are in the process of reserving a memorial bench to honor his memory in Kennilworth Park, just 1 block from the house he lived in for the better part of 20 years. Ahhhh, Gladstone Manor, if those walls could talk…

Oz was a lot of things to a lot of people, but at the top of the list for all of us, he is loved and missed. Truly one of a kind.

The memorial bench would provide a place for Oz's huge Portland family to gather and remember him, tell stories, laugh, cry, bring a guitar and sing a song, or all of the above! It is a beautiful park with plenty of space for children, dogs, picnics, and relaxing.

Parking is free and plentiful. The official park hours are 5am to 12 am, providing plenty of time to have a private moment or two as well as a meet up with others.

The bench is offered through the Portland Public Parks Department and 5,000 dollars pays for 10 years. A plaque is 175-350, depending on the inscription.

If the amount exceeds the goal, the rest will be used to support the winter coat drive, something that Oz was very passionate about.

Thank you!
