Memorial & Funeral Funds for Gloria
Donation protected
Gloria was taken to the ER Monday, the tenth, with abdominal and stomach pain. After being admitted, they completed a scan where they found a tumor in her colon and went into surgery. During surgery, they found that the tumor had infected her entire intestines, they were completely dead, and had to be removed. Immediately after surgery, she went to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where every six hours, doctors and nurses kept notifying us that she was becoming less responsive and her organs were becoming weaker. Her lungs, kidneys, and heart began to fail. Doctors reached the maximum dosage of medicine and yet, her heart was not getting any stronger. She passed away September 15th at 8:59 pm.
She was one of the family's biggest inspirations. She was born in El Salvador, a country known for its poverty and crime. After seeking asylum in the US, this became her home for over 30 years. For most of her life, she was a single mother. She always had a smile on her face and made people feel loved. She worked extremely hard as the main and only provider for her family. She worked so hard that her last day of work was Sunday, the ninth, before being admitted to the ER.
Her passing was completely unexpected. Neither she nor us, her family, knew of her sickness. We were not prepared mentally, emotionally, or financially for this tragedy. All funds collected are extremely appreciated. They are to cover all basic funeral expenses: casket, embalming, pick up/transportation of the body, cemetery, flowers, and memorial.
Our family thank you for all your help and support.
